Hotel Saint Cecilia
The last stop during my trip to Austin was a visit to the new Hotel Saint Cecilia, which opened last December. This place has a great, kitschy theme, featuring tons of original, vintage pieces (check out the 500-pound original bear claw bathtub!) mixed with new, hip decor. Kim over at Desire to Inspire, one of my favorite interiors blogs, was so kind as to post these on her site as well.

Hi Jackie -
First, can I just say I subscribe to about 80+ design/decorating blogs and when I saw your photos of the Hotel Saint Cecilia this evening, I got goose bumps! Wow! Those images are truly stunning, especially on the hime page of the site. There is an amazing contrast between boldness and serenity in those photos. This literally would be my dream home and you captured it perfectly. Great job!!
Cheers. Sorry about all of the !!!,
Andrea
P.S. Don’t wait too long to return to Austin

Thanks, Andrea! I too love the decor of this place. The owner of the property did it all herself and she certainly has a great eye for design. And don’t worry–I have way too many fond memories of Austin to not be returning very soon!

Hi Jackie -
Just a quick note to let you know I recently started a blog dedicated to interior design and vintage and modern real estate (which will be featured frequently as soon as I take my upcoming RE exam) and I included your photos of Hotel Saint Cecilia in my very first post! Please check out House of Slappy when you have a moment. I’m trying to get my subscriptions and readership up, but if you shoot more fantastic hotels or interiors you would like to share, please let me know and I’ll link to your page again.
Cheers,
Andrea Roe

Dream of obtaining a call from Warren Buffett, a lot of individuals in business vision.
It occurred to my friend–or rather Third Avenue Management, at my friend’s investment firm.
10 years ago, this affiliate was involved of a planned offer made by a
business that the company was spent in. He asked a series of questions that were sharp on a conference call with all the management team.
Additional professionals and investors were about the call.
And unbeknownst to everybody, therefore was Buffett.
Buffett left a voice mail and phoned up the affiliate after the the phone call ended.
In the beginning, he believed it was a prank phone.
He later verified it was truly the billionaire creator of Berkshire Hathaway who had called to applaud him for many careful focus on the business organization. Lesson learned: You will never know who’s listening or
viewing what you are doing.
I wasn’t so unlucky. I needed to spend years trying to get I to be spoken to by Buffett.
That has been the mandate when I first joined Bloomberg Tv–nab
the first meeting with him. And within my quest to do so, I learned about what is
required to get anyone–actually the entire world’s next wealthiest individual–to talk to you
personally, several things.
